A Bit of Spaniel Art

Besides raising dogs as our name might indicate, Ann is also an artist and loves all things art. You can find her other blog here. As you might imagine we were tickled pink were when we were sent the lovely piece below of one of our 2016 pups, Ollie! His owner, Kristen had it completed by Charlotte Kendall of Kendall's Creations (Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/KendallCreation/)

Interestingly enough, even though Springer Spaniels were only recognized as a breed in the early 1900's, their lineage goes back much further and were mentioned in Welsh as as early as 300AD - over 1700 years ago. This means they have been represented in art for a very longtime.
